[Question] We really liked Cell Division, we had been voting for it at Indie911's site. Congratulations for the certificate of merit at The Fort Lauderdale. As far as I know, this is your student project. What did you specifically study? Have you finished it yet?

[Tania Raymonde] I’m glad you liked it. I wrote “Cell Division” in high school and shot it once I graduated. I produced it on my own, out of school and found time to edit it when I wasn’t acting, so I guess it wasn’t really a student project. It’s completely finished now and as you guys might have noticed, it’s fully downloadable @ indie911.com! [Question] You have written and directed the short film. What do you like most? Acting or directing? Would you like to be a director?

[Tania Raymonde] I really like both pretty equally, for different reasons. It’s hard to choose one versus the other because acting and directing are very different exercises in creativity (if you can call it that.) Directing is fun because you can control everything about a scene but leave it up to the actors to internalize and perform, but acting is just as fun because the only thing you worry about is the emotion in your performance. The rest of it is out of your control as an actor, so you just do your best and let the director do his job. I hope I can continue to do both.

[Question] The story of Cell Division is a very intimate relate about a lonely girl. I think that everyone when writes a story contributes with a little of himself's story. How did you inspire to write this one?

[Tania Raymonde] Well I guess there’s always a little part of you in what you write. I’m not nearly as deranged as Lisa was, of course, haha, but there might be a bit of me in her. I tried to imagine how I would act if I were a girl like her, against all odds, rejected by everyone. I hope that there was some truth to her character.

[Question] You've done directing, writing and acting. Is there anything else you'd like to try your hand at?

[Tania Raymonde]In my free time I directed a short called Cell Division which is playing in a few festivals around the country right now. It's another thing that I like to do in my spare time. It keeps me busy and like I said, it's one of my hobbies I guess. I really like all aspects of filmmaking so if I am not acting then I like to be behind the camera and try to go through the writing and editing process. It's a fun thing for me and I like to keep myself busy in my spare time.
